Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Xi’an

Arrive at Xi’an Airport (XIY); meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Walk or cycle atop the Ancient City Wall for a bird’s-eye view of the city. Dive into the Muslim Quarter for a street food feast (try the Roujiamo lamb burgers) and see the Bell & Drum Tower lit up.

Day 2: Xi’an

Head to the Terracotta Army Museum. Spend 3+ hours exploring the three pits of life-sized clay soldiers. Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a masterpiece of Buddhist architecture from the Tang Dynasty. Overnight: Xi’an

Day 3: Xi’an to Shanghai

Take a morning Flight (2.5h) or High-Speed Train (6h) to Shanghai. Check into your hotel. Walk The Bund to see the colonial architecture on one side and the futuristic Pudong skyline on the other. Take a Huangpu River Cruise to see the city lights from the water.

Day 4: Shanghai

Wander through the 16th-century Yu Garden and the bustling Old City bazaar. Ascend the Shanghai Tower (the world’s second-tallest building) for a 360-degree view from the clouds. Shop and people-watch on Nanjing Road, China’s premier shopping street.

Day 5: Shanghai Departure

Visit the Jade Buddha Temple, home to two rare white jade statues from Burma. Transfer to Pudong International Airport (PVG) for your flight home.
