Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to Kandy

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB). Meet your driver and depart for Kandy (approx. 3-hour drive) Stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to observe elephants bathing and being fed. Visit a Spices and Herbal Garden in Kadugannawa to learn about traditional Ayurvedic medicine. Attend a Kandyan Cultural Dance Show (5:30 PM) followed by a visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic

Day 2: Kandy to Dambulla to Sigiriya

Explore the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens before leaving Kandy. Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, a massive rock temple complex with ancient Buddhist murals and 157 statues. Arrive in Sigiriya and check into your hotel. If time permits, hike Pidurangala Rock for a sunset view of the Sigiriya fortress.

Day 3: : Sigiriya to Polonnaruwa to Sigiriya

Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress (Lion Rock) early to avoid the heat. Explore the water gardens and the mirror wall frescoes. Travel to the Ancient City of Polonnaruwa. Rent a bicycle to explore ruins like the Royal Palace, the Quadrangle, and the Gal Vihara rock sculptures. Enjoy an authentic Sri Lankan cooking class or a village bullock cart ride in Hiriwadunna.

Day 4: Sigiriya to Nuwara Eliya

Drive to the Highlands. Visit Ramboda Falls and a Tea Factory. Evening walk around Lake Gregory in “Little England.

Day 5: Nuwara Eliya to Bentota.

Scenic drive down to the coast. Visit the Seetha Amman Temple (linked to Ramayana). Evening at leisure on Bentota Beach.

Day 6: Departure

Morning Madu River Boat Safari and Turtle Hatchery. Transfer to before your flight.
