Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to Auroville & French Charm

Arrive in Pondicherry or Chennai and travel to Auroville, the “City of Dawn”. Visit the Auroville Visitors Center to learn about its philosophy of human unity. Take a 10-12 minute walk to the Matrimandir Viewpoint to see the iconic golden dome from the outside. Explore White Town (French Quarter), known for its yellow-walled colonial buildings and vibrant bougainvillea. Visit the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, a peaceful spiritual community. Relax at Rock Beach (Promenade Beach). Stroll along the 1.5 km walkway, visit the Mahatma Gandhi Statue and French War Memorial, and enjoy the sunset. Note that vehicles are prohibited on the beach road in the evenings.

Day 2: Coastal Adventure & Departure

Head to Chunnambar Boat House to take a scenic 20-30 minute ferry ride through backwaters to reach Paradise Beach. This clean, white-sand beach is ideal for sunbathing, photography, and water sports. Visit the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a stunning Gothic-style church. Shop for souvenirs, leather goods, or handmade paper at Pondy Bazaar or Mission Street before your departure
