CHERRY BLOSSOM TOURS
Arrive at Shanghai Pudong (PVG); private transfer to your hotel. Visit Jing’an Sculpture Park, where rows of “Early Cherry” trees frame modern art installations. Walk The Bund to see the futuristic Pudong skyline reflected in the Huangpu River.
Head to Gucun Park, home to over 10,000 cherry trees. Explore the “Cherry Blossom Forest” and the “Reflection in the Water” area. Visit the 16th-century Yu Garden to see classical Ming architecture amidst blooming magnolias and spring flowers. Best time to visit late March to early April. Experience the “Night Viewing Mode” at Gucun Park, where the pink blossoms are illuminated by dynamic neon lights.
Take a 1-hour High-Speed Train to Wuxi – The World’s Top Blossom Spot. Spend the day at Yuantouzhu (Turtle Head Isle). This is one of the top 3 cherry blossom spots in the world. Walk across the Changchun Bridge under a thick canopy of pink petals. Take a sunset boat ride on Lake Tai before taking the train back to Shanghai.
Board the G-Class Bullet Train to Beijing (approx. 4.5 hours). Watch the speedometer hit 350 km/h. Arrive in Beijing; enjoy a welcome dinner of Peking Roasted Duck at a famous local restaurant.
Visit Yuyuantan Park, the heart of Beijing’s cherry blossom season with over 3,000 trees. Explore the Temple of Heaven, where the ancient cypress trees provide a deep green contrast to the white and pink spring blooms. Take a Hutong Rickshaw Tour through old Beijing’s narrow alleys to see local life in the spring.
Drive to the Mutianyu Great Wall. In spring, the mountains surrounding the wall are covered in wild mountain peach and cherry blossoms. Take the toboggan slide down the mountain. On the way back, stop at the Summer Palace to walk the lakeside causeway lined with weeping willows and blossoms.
Walk through Tiananmen Square and enter the Forbidden City to see the imperial gardens in bloom. Evening transfer to Beijing Capital (PEK) or Daxing (PKX) for your departure flight.
